Poseidons OarEnvision The origins of colonial space may be traced to attitudes about the environment in ancient Greece. These attitudes evolved through three distinct stages that altered the relationship between culture and nature. The writing of Homer exposes a particular moment in history when these two categories began to split, causing a rift that defines conceptions of space and place even now.
